RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: 
 


Instruction:  The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate level chemistry courses. He/she should be able to communicate effectively, both in written and oral English, with students of diverse educational backgrounds. 
 


Research:  The successful candidate will perform experimental research in either Physical or Analytical Chemistry. It is expected that he/she will involve undergraduate and graduate students in their research, thus expanding the research opportunities in the department. The faculty member will be expected to secure competitive funding. 
 


General:  The appointee is expected to contribute to the research, teaching, and service mission of the institution by serving on committees, advising students, participating in seminars and interacting with faculty and students. 
 


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 

     

A Ph.D. in Physical or Analytical Chemistry

Position Title:  Chemical Lab Specialist

Works closely with the other Chemical Lab Specialists and plant to ensure the smooth and effective operation of the production facility and lab. The Chemical Lab Specialist performs routine analyses of product shipment samples, storage samples, and plant process stream samples in order to assure quality and process control.

Purpose

External Customers: Nitrogen/oxidizer products and CO2 customers.

Technical Competencies

Uses metal organic catalyst and chemical engineering skills to develop new processes and new products in line with the growth strategy of the company. This activity requires interfacing with management and project teams, reading technical literature, planning and conducting experiments. Ability to liaise with all levels of management and cross-functional project teams. Effective administration skills, including ability to write protocols, design of experiments (DOEs) and other technical documents.
